Disclaimer
Important notes on handicap calculations, course data and how the platform should be relied upon.
Last updated: 1 July 2026
1. Not an Official Governing Body
Handicap Management is an independent software platform. We are not CONGU, the USGA, R&A or any National Governing Body, and we do not issue official handicap certificates. Clubs and associations remain responsible for confirming their handicapping is recognised as required by their own governing body.
2. Accuracy of Calculations
We apply CONGU and World Handicap System calculation rules as configured for each group, and test our calculation engine against published rule sets. Results depend on the accuracy of scores, course ratings and settings entered by organisers and players, we cannot guarantee correctness where source data is incomplete or incorrect.
3. Course & Ratings Data
Course, slope and stroke index data in our shared library is sourced from user submissions and administrator review. While we review course requests before adding them, ratings should be verified against your governing body's published figures for anything competition-critical.
4. Public Leaderboards
Public leaderboard links display data as submitted by organisers. We are not responsible for disputes between organisers, clubs and players regarding the accuracy or publication of results.
5. No Financial or Competition Advice
Nothing on this platform constitutes advice on competition eligibility, prize entitlement or handicap disputes. Where a result is contested, it should be resolved through the relevant club, society or governing body's own procedures.
6. Third-Party Integrations
Where external scoring systems submit data via our API, we are not responsible for the accuracy of data originating from those third-party systems.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Handicap Management is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from reliance on calculated handicaps, course data or platform availability. Nothing in this disclaimer limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.
8. Contact
